Position Summaryย
Carpenters/Form Setters perform various carpentry tasks involving physical labor onย highway,ย road, and bridge construction projects. Theyย are responsible forย building and setting forms forย retainingย walls, pipes, and bridges while ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality in every task.ย
Carpenters/Form Setters work as part of a team on heavy civil construction projects, using their own tools andย demonstratingย a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship in all aspects of the job.ย
Whatย You'llย Doย
- Construct, brace, and secure forms for concrete structures such asย retainingย walls, pipes, and bridges.ย
- Build, align, and secure structure forms for concrete placement.ย
- Set and brace forms forย retainingย walls, bridges, and other structural components.ย
- Read and interpret construction drawings, sketches, and blueprints to ensureย accurateย formwork.ย
- Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, and assemble form materials.ย
- Maintainย a clean, organized, and safe work environment.ย
- Perform other relatedย duties asย assigned to support project needs.ย
Whatย We'reย Looking Forย
- 3+ years ofย previousย carpenter experience in all types of structural forms, including Symon, EFCO, and Wood forms forย cast-in-place (CIP).ย
- Advanced wood forming experience.ย
- Must provide your own hand tools, such as hammer, pouch, level, 8" crescent wrench, and tape measure.ย
- Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools used in construction.ย
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, sketches, and blueprints.ย
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including standing, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, and climbing.ย
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.ย
- Flexibility toย work days, nights, and weekends as needed.ย
