    Job description

    Minimum:

    Maximum:

Location:Las Vegas, NevadaJob Type:Full timeJob Title:Director of Strategic Business DevelopmentJob Description:Director of Strategic Business DevelopmentOpen Doors. Build Trust. Help Shape What's Built Next.

    Some people wait for opportunities.

    Others create them.

The most successful construction projects don't begin when a bid is released-they begin months earlier through conversations, relationships, and trust.

At YESCO, our Director of Strategic Business Development creates those opportunities.

You'll introduce YESCO to people who don't know us yet. You'll meet developers, property owners, architects, general contractors, consultants, brand leaders, and executives who influence what gets built. You'll learn what they're planning, understand the challenges they're trying to solve, and position YESCO long before a project reaches the competitive bidding stage.

This isn't about making sales calls for the sake of making sales calls.

It's about having the confidence to make the first call, the curiosity to ask thoughtful questions, and the persistence to earn trust over time.

You'll work closely with Executive Leadership and collaborate with Account Executives, Estimating, Engineering, Design, Project Management, and Operations. Your role is to create and qualify opportunities, build executive relationships, and position YESCO early. Once an opportunity is ready, you'll transition it to the appropriate Account Executive while remaining involved as a trusted business partner.

If you're energized by opening doors, building relationships, and creating opportunities where others see obstacles, we'd like to meet you.

    Why YESCO?

Since 1920, YESCO has helped businesses stand out.

From the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign to major resorts, sports venues, entertainment destinations, and commercial properties throughout North America, YESCO has earned a reputation for quality, innovation, and long-term customer relationships.

The projects we're known for began because someone built a relationship, earned trust, and opened the right door at the right time.

As our Director of Strategic Business Development, you'll help create the relationships that become tomorrow's projects while representing a company that has spent more than a century earning the confidence of customers across North America.

    What We Offer
    • Competitive salary plus performance-based incentive plan

    • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

    • 401(k) with company match

    • Paid time off and company holidays

    • Professional development opportunities

    • The opportunity to influence the future growth of a respected industry leader

    What You'll Do

Your mission is straightforward: create opportunities that wouldn't exist without you.

Every project you uncover creates an opportunity for the entire YESCO team to succeed.

    Create the First Conversation

Introduce YESCO to people who don't know us yet.

Whether it's picking up the phone, requesting an introduction, attending an industry event, or walking into a meeting, you'll confidently create new relationships that position YESCO for future opportunities.

Research upcoming developments, construction activity, permitting activity, market trends, and emerging industries to identify projects before they become public opportunities.

    Build Relationships That Last

Develop executive-level relationships with owners, developers, architects, general contractors, consultants, procurement teams, hospitality organizations, retailers, and other decision-makers.

Stay connected through regular meetings, site visits, networking events, industry conferences, and meaningful follow-up. You understand that trust is earned over time-not in a single meeting.

    Position YESCO Early

Gather the information that matters-project goals, budgets, timelines, decision-makers, procurement strategies, and competitive intelligence.

Work closely with Account Executives to transition qualified opportunities with the insight and context needed to continue building strong customer relationships.

Remain involved throughout the project whenever your relationships can add value or help uncover future opportunities.

Bring the Voice of the Market Back to YESCO

Stay curious about what's changing in the market.

Share market trends, competitor activity, customer feedback, and emerging opportunities with Executive Leadership so YESCO can make informed decisions about future growth.

    What Success Looks Like

Success isn't measured by how many calls you make.

It's measured by the strength of the relationships you build, the quality of the opportunities you uncover, and the confidence customers have in choosing YESCO.

Relationships matter because they create opportunities-and opportunities become projects that fuel YESCO's growth.

The right person for this role enjoys opening doors, connecting people, solving problems, and creating opportunities that benefit everyone involved.

What You'll Bring to the Team

    You're naturally curious.

You enjoy meeting new people, learning about their business, and discovering opportunities others overlook.

You're comfortable introducing yourself to people you've never met. Making the first call doesn't intimidate you-it motivates you because you know every lasting partnership starts with an introduction.

One unanswered email or a voicemail doesn't stop you. You know meaningful relationships are built through consistency, not a single conversation.

Most importantly, you understand that successful business development isn't about closing one project-it's about building relationships that continue creating opportunities for years.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Seven or more years of experience in business development, strategic sales, construction, commercial real estate, architecture, hospitality, gaming, retail branding, or a related industry.

    • A history of developing executive-level relationships that resulted in meaningful business growth.

    • Experience identifying projects before formal procurement or bidding begins.

    • Strong understanding of commercial construction, development timelines, customer priorities, and market trends.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to engage executives, developers, architects, general contractors, consultants, and business owners.

    • Experience using CRM platforms to manage relationships, organize opportunities, and maintain customer intelligence.

    • Strong business judgment with the ability to prioritize opportunities and think strategically.

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the market.

    Where You'll Work

This role combines office time with time in the field meeting customers, visiting project sites, attending industry events, and building relationships throughout the community.

If you enjoy being out in the market more than sitting behind a desk, you'll feel right at home.

    Join YESCO

Every great project begins with someone willing to make the first call.

    Someone willing to introduce themselves.

Someone willing to ask good questions.

Someone willing to earn trust before asking for business.

If that's how you've built your career, we'd like to meet you.

Join YESCO and help shape the relationships that define YESCO's next century of growth.

YESCO maintains a drug-free workplace and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
