ABOUT xAI
xAI's mission is to create AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. Our team is small, highly motivated, and focused on engineering excellence. This organization is for individuals who appreciate challenging themselves and thrive on curiosity. We operate with a flat organizational structure. All employees are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company's mission. Leadership is given to those who show initiative and consistently deliver excellence. Work ethic and strong prioritization skills are important. All employees are expected to have strong communication skills. They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will manage and control all technical and project documentation for xAI's hyperscale datacenters and power plants. This includes engineering drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, permits, and O&M manuals. If you are highly organized, process-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment where accuracy and speed are paramount, join us to support the delivery of world-class AI infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of project documents including engineering drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, test reports, quality records, permits, as-built drawings, and operations & maintenance manuals.
  • Implement and maintain document control processes using Aconex, Procore, Bluebeam, SharePoint, and other EDMS platforms.
  • Perform advanced document markup, review, and collaboration using Bluebeam Revu while enforcing version control, numbering, and revision tracking.
  • Process incoming and outgoing documents: review for completeness, register, distribute via transmittals, and track approvals from internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory compliance by organizing and maintaining all permits, environmental assessments, safety documentation, and records required for power plant and datacenter operations.
  • Generate status reports, dashboards, and metrics in Procore and Aconex for project leadership.
  • Facilitate audits by providing quick and accurate access to controlled documents and records.
  • Continuously improve document control workflows and train project team members on Aconex, Procore, and Bluebeam best practices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of document control experience on large-scale capital projects, preferably in datacenters, power generation, energy infrastructure, or EPC environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Aconex, Procore, and Bluebeam Revu is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and SharePoint).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to manage high volumes of documentation under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Direct experience supporting datacenter or power plant projects (electrical infrastructure, cooling systems, high-voltage substations, etc.).
  • Certifications in document control, Procore, Aconex, or Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with construction and engineering document types (P&IDs, single-line diagrams, civil drawings, equipment datasheets, etc.).
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to power plants and datacenters.
  • Knowledge of BIM processes and other construction management platforms.
  • Prior exposure to AI, hyperscale computing, or energy-intensive industrial facilities.
