Role Description This full-time, on-site Paralegal – Real Estate role is based in East Hampton , CT. The paralegal supports attorneys in all phases of real estate transactions, including preparing contracts, closing documents, and related correspondence. Daily responsibilities include organizing and reviewing files, coordinating with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and title companies, and tracking key dates and contingencies. The role involves drafting and proofreading legal documents, conducting basic legal and title research, and maintaining accurate records in firm systems. The paralegal also assists with scheduling closings, preparing settlement statements, and ensuring all documentation is complete prior to closing.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Law related to real estate and familiarity with real estate transaction processes.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including contracts, closing packages, and correspondence.
  • Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, lenders, agents, and internal team members.
  • Ability to conduct organized Research and perform thorough Document Review to identify issues and inconsistencies.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management abilities, and capacity to handle multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Comfort with common office software, document management systems, and basic title/closing platforms.
  • Prior experience as a real estate paralegal, legal assistant, or in a real estate closing environment is preferred.
