Saskatoon Public Schools Requires A:
Building Operator 2 - Floater (Temporary)
 


Saskatoon Public Schools invites applications from individuals interested in the temporary Building Operator 2 Floater position. Under the direction of the Manager of Operations, the Building Operator 2 Floater functions as a temporary replacement for short- or long-term Building Operator absences or as additional support. The Building Operator 2 Floater will provide mentorship to newly appointed or existing Building Operators and in all aspects of building operator and caretaking operations throughout Saskatoon Public Schools. 

Applicants for the Building Operator 2 Floater position must possess a grade 12 or equivalent, plus Fifth Class Engineer's Certificate as assigned by the Saskatchewan Department of Labour or other certificates as may be required by management. A minimum of 2 years' experience in the role of Building Operator is preferred along with the completion of Level 1 and 2 Occupational Health and Safety training.  Applicants must have the ability to utilize email, process maintenance requisitions, supply orders, staffing assignments and the energy management system (e.g. schedule, alter set points, and diagnose heating, cooling and ventilation problems). The successful applicant will have the ability to operate and maintain various types of mechanical and electrical systems, with diagnostic skills in the above areas, for example, fire protection alarm and fire sprinkler systems as they apply and the ability to carry out preventative maintenance programs. Candidates will have exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills combined with effective problem solving, decision making, organizing and planning skills.
