Weston is seeking a Regional Equipment Store (RES) Equipment Maintenance Technician. This person provides functional monitoring and equipment calibration based on the requirements of each project upon request. They will maintain, assemble, clean, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair all capital equipment in the Equipment Store Inventory, while performing related responsibilities as assigned. This position is an in-office, daily position.
Location: Lincolnshire, IL
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • High School diploma or equivalent with two years technical experience.
  • Basic Computer Skills including (Micro Soft Office, Data Entry, etc.)
  • Prior Training/Skills required - Electronic repair.
  • Familiar with Health and Safety monitoring instruments.
  • Mechanical ability with pumps, gauges and small engines.
  • Must have the ability to move, lift or manipulate up to 75 lbs.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Familiarity with the following types of equipment for calibration and maintenance:
    • Air Monitoring and Sampling Equipment
    • Confined Space Equipment
    • Personal Protective Equipment
    • Respiratory Equipment
    • Water Monitoring and Sampling Equipment
    • Survey Equipment
    • UXO Detection Equipment
    • Vehicles, including Boats, Trailers, and UTV's
    • Emergency Response Equipment
    • Tools
    • Radiation Equipment
    • Soil Monitoring and Sampling Equipment

Expected Outcomes:
  • Fill equipment requests for monitoring instruments and field equipment ensuring that all necessary accessories and calibration gases are furnished.
  • Check, certify and record calibration of instrument prior to issue for project/field/training use; furthermore, determine and document cause of damaged equipment and instruments being returned.
  • Receive incoming equipment and instruments from field use and inspect for completeness, damage, serviceability, and possible contamination.
  • Prepare requisitions to order parts, and necessary materials.
  • Reporting as necessary.
  • Participate in training and awareness programs for hazardous material/environment.
  • Vehicle maintenance and service.
  • Warehouse duties - pick, pack, and ship equipment via Federal Express, UPS or USPS. Expendable inventory control.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
Salary Range: $37,638 - $49,138 - $60,534
