Job description

Lifeguard Position

The Lifeguard, under general supervision, is responsible to ensure safety, cleanliness, and excellent service to members and guests and deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring satisfaction of members and guests. The role ensures the safety of patrons at the company's Country Club pool by actively preventing and responding to emergencies. The role also provides immediate attention to all members and guests, adhering to the Hospitality Operations Department Universal Standards.

Weekend availability required.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safety, cleanliness, and excellent service to members and guests and delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring satisfaction of members and guests.
  • Ensuring the safety of patrons at the company's Country Club pool by actively preventing and responding to emergencies.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the check-in process for members and guests at the facilities.
  • Providing immediate attention to all members and guests, adhering to the Hospitality Operations Department Universal Standards.
  • Demonstrating a duty of care to guests and team members by following the company's safety guidelines and informing others of policies and procedures.
  • Providing emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  • Communicating procedures, rules, and standards accurately and effectively to patrons and other employees and ensuring effective communication in emergency situations.
  • Providing a clean, well-maintained, and safe aquatic environment in compliance with club and public health department standards.
  • Checking pool water to ensure the safety of guests and applying appropriate chemicals as necessary.
  • Opening and preparing the pool at the beginning of the day and closing and securing the pool at the end of the day.

Job qualifications include:

  • 0 - 2 years of experience as a Lifeguard or in a related field.
  • Approved Lifeguard Training is required.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.
