Position Overview

West Side Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physical Therapist (PT) who will play a pivotal role in enhancing the rehabilitation journey of our patients. As a Physical Therapist in our orthopedic outpatient practice located in Norwalk, California, you will guide individuals in regaining movement, improving functionalities, and elevating their overall quality of life. West Side Physical Therapy is a well-established orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation facility dedicated to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care. Our multidisciplinary team includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who work collaboratively to support patients in their recovery journeys. Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our modern facility in Norwalk, California, where you will enjoy a vibrant and supportive atmosphere. Our clinic is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies and tools essential for optimizing patient care. The standard work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals, needs, and limitations, ensuring personalized treatment plans.
  • Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, allowing for focused and individualized care.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment modalities and interventions that facilitate optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to deliver coordinated care.
  • Monitor patient progress, document treatments, and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Educate patients on preventive care techniques, enabling them to maintain health and avoid future injuries.
  • Motivate patients throughout their treatment by providing encouragement and support to enhance engagement in their recovery process.
  • Develop customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs and goals.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles by enhancing key aspects such as strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
  • Utilize EMR software such as WebPT for efficient documentation and tracking of patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation center primarily serves orthopedic patients who may be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility. Your expertise in physical therapy will provide these individuals with critical support in their journey towards recovery, ensuring they regain independence and functionality in their daily lives.

Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
  • Strong manual therapy skills and experience in orthopedic outpatient care.
  • Proficiency in developing effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, predominantly WebPT, for seamless documentation and patient tracking.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, particularly addressing diverse patient demographics.
  • A proven track record of successful patient outcomes and satisfaction in previous roles.
  • Experience in mentoring or training less experienced staff or students in clinical settings.
