Title: Commercial Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA

Reporting to: VP, Global Head of Sales & Marketing

Role Overview

The Commercial Analyst sits at the intersection of Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain, providing the analytical foundation and commercial infrastructure that enables WE Soda to compete effectively across global markets. This role is responsible for supporting commercial execution and decision-making in a high-growth, global environment.

The position blends analytical capability with hands‑on commercial support and execution, supporting pricing management, contract management, and delivering market intelligence and decision support that directly informs leadership strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Analysis & Decision Support

• Build and maintain commercial data models to support volume, revenue, and margin planning across global markets


• Support supply chain and operations teams with demand planning inputs, allocation scenario modeling, and logistics cost analysis


• Maintain pricing databases and ensure accuracy of realized price tracking across regions, segments, and incoterms


• Support the development and execution of pricing proposals, including netback analysis, CIF/FOB benchmarking, and margin impact modeling


• Analyze pricing variances versus budget and prior period, identifying root causes and surfacing insights to commercial leadership


• Assist in the development of pricing governance tools and reporting to drive discipline and consistency across markets


• Prepare analysis and presentation materials for executive reviews, global sales meetings, and board-level reporting

Improve data quality, reporting processes, and commercial market intelligence

• Track and synthesize global soda ash and sodium bicarbonate market developments, including supply/demand dynamics, competitor activity, trade flows, and end‑market trends


• Produce regular market intelligence reports and briefings to support regional sales teams and executive decision‑making


• Monitor industry publications, trade data, and customer signals to identify commercial risks and opportunities


• Support the preparation of customer and competitor profiles in advance of negotiations and strategic account reviews

Commercial Administration and Execution

• Partner with Finance on accounts receivable tracking, customer credit exposure, and monthly commercial reporting


• Administer customer rebate and incentive programs, tracking accruals, validating eligibility, and coordinating with both Finance and Sales & Marketing teams to ensure accurate and timely settlement in line with contractual obligations.


• Support contract management process across global customer accounts, ensuring commercial terms are accurately captured and consistently enforced.


• Maintain full visibility into pricing mechanisms, volume commitments, rebate structures, and key dates, serving as the single source of truth for the commercial organization.


• Support the Chief Commercial Officer, VP of Global Sales & Marketing and VP Global Supply Chain with ad hoc analysis, project work, and preparation for customer meetings and negotiations

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or a related analytical discipline preferred


• 3–5 years of experience in a commercial, analytical, or supply chain role, ideally within industrial minerals, chemicals, commodities, or a B2B manufacturing environment


• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/commercial modeling; experience with SAP and other reporting platforms and systems a plus


• Demonstrated curiosity and working proficiency with AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent); comfortable leveraging AI to accelerate analysis, drafting, and research in a fast‑moving commercial environment.


• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for commercial and executive audiences


• Familiarity with contract management processes and commercial terms in a B2B context


• Exposure to global trade, logistics, or commodity pricing mechanics preferred


• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced, evolving environment


• Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to work effectively across functions and geographies
