    Scope of Position
    Reporting operationally to the Director of Distribution centers and functionally to the Director of EHS, the EHS Manager will drive proactive safety culture across the distribution network through visible leadership, employee engagement, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. The EHS Manager will ensure consistency across the organization relative to government compliance and Watts operating expectations and will network with other organizations across the global organization to drive excellence and best practices. Travel regularly to distribution centers throughout North America to conduct audits, support investigations, provide training, sharing best practices, and ensure alignment with corporate EHS standards. Success in this role will be measured through injury rate reduction, regulatory compliance, audit performance, corrective action closure, training completion, and overall improvement in safety culture and sharing best practices across the organization.
    Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
    • Ensure sites are adhering to all applicable federal, state and local regulations relative to workplace health & safety; interface with government officials, as necessary.
    • Ensure safety and other training is delivered including critical topics such as New Hire Orientation, Radiation Safety, Powered Industrial Trucks, Fall Protection, Proper Lifting Techniques, Lock-out/Tag-out and Hazard Communication.
    • Lead incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis methodologies and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented, validated, and sustained.
    • Develop and communicate EHS performance metrics including recordable injuries, lost time incidents, near misses, corrective actions, training compliance, and audit finding to leadership.
    • Coordinate emergency response preparedness, evacuation planning, severe weather response, and business continuity initiatives across the distribution network.
    • Partner with medical team to drive successful injury triage and transitional return to work programs.
    • Develop a proactive safety culture including employee engagement around early reporting, risk reduction opportunities, and STOP Work.
    • Standardize safety work practices across the DC network.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, focus on an industrial health or safety discipline, industrial engineering, or other related physical or health science preferred.
    • Pursuing ASP (associate safety professional) or CSP (certified safety professional) or other professional certification desirable
    • 5+years of EHS experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or warehousing.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with multi-site responsivity
    • SAP experience
    • Experience with Incident Management Systems
    • OSHA & EPA compliance programs
    • Experience with ISO45001 and ISO14001.
    • Professional certification - ASP, CSP, CIH, PE, CEAS, DPT, COHN

    Working Conditions
    While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Groveport, OH location (Monday - Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. Domestic and International Travel Required: 25-35%.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:
    • Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
    • Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.
    • Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.
    • Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
    • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
