Position Overview:
Role: Paint & Hardware Sales Associate
Type: Permanent, part-time/full-time
Salary: Hourly, Starting at $17.00/hour
Location: Varies (Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties
Reports To: Store Manager
Environment: On-premises with occasional travel for local deliveries (as necessary)
Key Responsibilities:
Sell and provide guidance on paint and hardware products
Greet customers and ensure exceptional service
Maintain store cleanliness, organize merchandise and signage through the store
Handle orders, pricing, inventory, and customer accounts
Use database systems (POS) for order tracking and communication
Drive company vehicle for deliveries when needed
Driving Duties (as needed):
Pre-load and route deliveries
Maintain vehicle and delivery logs
Ensure safety checks and inspections are completed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of retail/customer service preferred
Valid, clean driver's license
1 year of delivery experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, with prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, crouching, squatting, loading and unloading truck or van
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Strong communication, computer and customer service skills
