Job description

Summary 

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efforts of the landscaping team to ensure high-quality maintenance and landscaping services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

Supervise and Lead Team:

  1. Direct and oversee the daily activities of the landscaping team.
  2. Provide training and guidance to team members.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Project Planning and Execution:

  1. Plan and schedule landscaping projects, including mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, and trimming.
  2. Allocate resources and assign tasks to team members.
  3. Monitor project progress and adjust as needed.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

  1. Operate and oversee the use of vehicles and powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
  2. Ensure regular maintenance and minor repairs of equipment.

Quality Control:

  1. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
  2. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly.

Client Relations:

  1. Communicate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
  2. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality services.

Administrative Duties:

  1. Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
  2. Prepare reports and documentation as required.

Safety and Compliance:

  1. Enforce compliance with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  2. Ensure adherence to CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.

Other Duties:

  1. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director, Field Operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of landscaping associates.

Education Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements: 

  • Previous landscape/lawn care experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to landscaping operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety riles, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedural manuals.
  • Ability to handle operational challenges calmy and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver record.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.

Physical Demands: 

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and communicate.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include the ability to observe details at any range and distinguish various colors.

Work Environment

  • Works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock
  • Noise level is usually moderate.
