Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Solar O&M Field Technician to support the operations and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining solar assets to ensure maximum system performance and uptime across utility-scale and commercial installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems
• Troubleshoot and repair inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and electrical components
• Monitor system performance using SCADA and reporting tools
• Diagnose faults and implement solutions to minimize downtime
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning support
• Perform electrical testing (voltage, insulation resistance, IV curve tracing)
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors when needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification in electrical or related field
• 2+ years of experience in solar O&M or electrical field work
• Strong knowledge of DC/AC systems and solar PV operations
• Hands-on experience with inverter troubleshooting (string/central)
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work outdoors

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with utility-scale solar farms or commercial rooftop systems
• Familiarity with SCADA or monitoring systems
• OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety certification
• NABCEP certification (for US-based roles)
