The Pre-Press Operator plays a critical role in the print production process, ensuring files are accurately prepared and optimized for printing. Reporting to the Production Manager, this position focuses on color management, proofing, image editing, and conducting thorough preflight checks to maintain high-quality standards. The role offers opportunities to cross-train in related areas, supporting professional growth within the production team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize files for print production
• Manage color profiles to ensure color accuracy
• Conduct proofing and quality checks on digital files
• Edit and retouch images as needed for print quality
• Perform preflight checks to identify errors before printing

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in pre-press operations
• Associate degree in Graphic Arts or a related field
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience with pre-press software and color correction
• Knowledge of print production processes
• Strong time management skills
