UPMC Presbyterian is excited to welcome a Part-Time Neuro Interventional Technologist to our cutting-edge team! This role offers two 10-hour shifts with flexible start times of 6:30am or 7:30am, giving you consistency while staying connected to high-acuity, life-saving care.

Call Requirements:

  • 1 night per week
  • 1 weekend per month
  • 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
  • Ability to respond to the hospital within 30-45 minutes while on call

What You'll Do:

  • Perform and assist with interventional procedures using advanced radiographic techniques
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort through correct preparation and continuous monitoring
  • Administer contrast following protocol under the direction of the proceduralist
  • Accurately review patient history, follow physician orders, and document everything in the electronic health record
  • Uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique and participate in time-out processes for every procedure
  • Make sure exams are properly coded, archived, and charged in our systems
  • Collaborate with your team and other departments, always demonstrating compassion, respect, and excellent communication
  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.
    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • ARRT Certificate
  • ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Act 34
