    Job description

Take Ownership. Build Teams. Move the Region Forward.
United Contractor Services (UCS) ranks among North America's largest and fastest-growing specialty subcontractors, self-performing drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and specialty systems across some of the most demanding project types in the industry - from mission critical and advanced manufacturing facilities to corporate interiors and large-scale commercial builds. With expansion into new markets underway, we're hiring a Senior Project Manager who pairs seasoned leadership with deep technical command and a drive to raise the bar for the teams and projects around them.

    The Position:
This is a senior leadership role inside a growing regional division. You'll do more than run your own projects - you'll define how the work gets executed, develop the project management talent around you, and serve as a key driver of the division's growth. Behind you is the full weight of UCS's national corporate infrastructure and a team that's committed to getting the work right.

    What You'll Own:

    Financial & Operational Performance

    • Manage project budgets, job costs, schedules, and subcontractor/vendor coordination.
    • Track labor productivity and revenue performance across your portfolio of projects.
    • Pinpoint and act on opportunities to strengthen margins and operational efficiency.

    Full-Cycle Project Execution

    • Lead projects through every phase, from preconstruction and estimating to field execution and closeout.
    • Keep teams accountable to budget, schedule, safety, and quality on every job.
    • Work hand-in-hand with UCS corporate functions - Safety, Accounting, HR, BIM/VDC, and others - to keep projects running smoothly.

    Team Leadership & Mentorship

    • Lead from the front within the regional project management team, modeling quality, accountability, and professionalism.
    • Coach and support Project Managers, APMs, Superintendents, Coordinators, and Interns.
    • Reinforce operational best practices and help build a high-performance team culture.

    Client Relationships & Regional Growth

    • Fuel regional growth by cultivating strong relationships with general contractors, owners, and trade partners.
    • Contribute to pursuits, bids, and business development across the region.
    • Help keep the project pipeline healthy and grow regional backlog.

    What You'll Need:

    • 5+ years of project management experience with a commercial drywall or interiors subcontractor - required.
    • Strong working knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall systems, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and related scopes.
    • Proven ability to manage budgets, job costs, schedules, and vendor/subcontractor coordination.
    • A history of building GC relationships and supporting regional business development.
    • Natural leadership instincts and a real commitment to developing people and lifting team performance.
    • Comfortable operating at a senior level - owning outcomes, solving problems, and leading by example.

    Why UCS:

    • A national platform with a strong reputation and deep backlog, particularly in mission critical and advanced manufacturing
    • Complete corporate support across Safety, HR, Accounting, VDC, Engineering, and more
    • A senior seat with genuine influence - your leadership will directly shape how the team performs
    • Performance-based bonus structure tied to project and team results
    • A people-first culture built on integrity, hard work, collaboration, and growth

Ready to lead at the next level?
If you're an established commercial construction leader looking for a role where your experience creates real impact - for your team, your projects, and your region - we'd like to hear from you. Apply today.
