Job description

This job is only available to students who qualify for Work-Study. If you are unsure whether you have been awarded Work-Study, please contact the Financial Aid office at finaid@union.edu.

The student assistant would check-in journals and newspapers that arrive daily and shelve them in the periodicals room, current reading area, newspapers and or basement. Responsible for sorting and delivering mail to the various areas within the library. Assist Acquisitions Team with unpacking and checking in book orders. Other individual projects as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data entry

  • Shelving

  • Lifting boxes (sometimes heavy)

  • Sorting of mail

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Attention to details

  • Basic computer skills

  • Able to lift heavy boxes

  • Able to work independently
