Job Summary
Are you an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician with a talent for troubleshooting and a keen interest in technology? Do you excel at working with chillers, RTUs, VAVs, and air handlers, and are you ready to elevate your career by mastering Building Automation Systems (BAS)?
Unify Energy Solutions is seeking skilled Commercial HVAC Technicians eager to transition into controls integration and automation support. In this dynamic role, you'll continue to apply your hands-on mechanical expertise while expanding into the intelligent side of building systems. You'll gain invaluable experience learning to start up, troubleshoot, and seamlessly integrate HVAC systems with advanced BAS. What You'll Do
  • Perform start-up, service, and troubleshooting on diverse commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, air handlers, and boilers.
  • Develop expertise in BAS controls for critical components like VFDs, actuators, and dampers.
  • Configure, download, and verify controller hardware, firmware, and network addresses during system setup to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute sequence verification and system optimization to maximize energy efficiency and operational reliability.
  • Assist with BACnet integrations, facilitating seamless communication between HVAC equipment and building automation systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and customers, providing clear updates and solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, supporting the long-term performance and reliability of BAS installations.

Requirements
Ideal Background
  • 3+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC experience.
  • Proficiency in interpreting control wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs and comfortable working in various commercial building environments.
  • A strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies, including BAS software tools and networking basics.
