    Job description

Precision is a craft. At Triosim Corporation, it's also a career. We're looking for an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist who takes pride in holding a tight tolerance, building a clean setup, and turning a worn component back into a precision part. If you can read a print, run your own setups, and work independently on large-capacity equipment, we want to put your skills to work.

Triosim Corporation is a growing network of industrial service and manufacturing companies serving the pulp, paper, plastics, oil and gas, steel, manufacturing, converting, and food & beverage industries across the U.S. and Canada. Our machinists, millwrights, and technicians keep heavy equipment running for customers who can't afford downtime — and that reputation is built one precision part at a time.

    The Role:

Working from blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders, you'll set up and operate manual engine, turret, and large-capacity lathes to produce, repair, and remanufacture precision components — industrial shafts, rotors, screws, cylinders, and pump components — to tolerances as tight as ±0.001". This is a hands-on role for a machinist who owns their setups and their results.

    What You Will Do:
    • Set up and operate manual engine, turret, and largecapacity lathes for turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, knurling, and grooving.
    • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and GD&T to plan each job.
    • Select the right tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting fluids for ferrous and nonferrous materials.
    • Machine components to close tolerances, typically within ±0.001".
    • Verify your own work with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges, and document results as required.
    • Remanufacture and repair industrial pumps and related components to restore them to spec.
    • Deburr, finish, and prepare parts for the next operation or for shipment.
    • Keep your machine and work area maintained, clean, and organized.
    • Follow all safety policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and required PPE.
    • Work alongside supervisors, quality personnel, and other trades to hit production and quality targets.
    • What You Bring:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Technical certificate or associate degree in machining/manufacturing technology, or a completed machinist apprenticeship, preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of hands on manual lathe machining experience.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
    • A demonstrated track record of holding tight tolerances.
    • Working knowledge of feeds, speeds, and tooling selection across a range of materials.
    • Solid shop math: fractions, decimals, and basic trigonometry.
    • Comfort working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Experience operating large or heavy industrial lathes.
    • Experience machining or remanufacturing industrial rolls, shafts, or cylinders.
    • Ability to grind custom tooling.
    • Work Environment
    • Active machineshop/manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, coolant, metal chips, and varying temperatures.
    • Frequent standing, bending, and reaching; lifting up to 50 lbs, with lifting aids used for heavier loads.
    • PPE required at all times: safety glasses, steeltoed footwear, and hearing protection.
    • Overtime and shift work may be required based on production demand.
    • Join our Team at Triosim!

You'll join a network of skilled trades professionals who take real ownership of their craft, working on equipment that matters to the customers who depend on it. We back that craftsmanship with the tooling, training, and autonomy it takes to do the job right — and the stability of a company that continues to grow.

      Benefits:
    • 401(K)
    • Medical, Dental, Vision
    • PTO
    • Competitive salary
    • Triosim is an Equal Opportunity Employer
