Job Purpose Summary:
The Quality Control General Inspector I is responsible for product label inspections, material sampling, and routing of samples for long-term retention. This position also works closely with Quality Control Technical Analysts, Production Control, Production, Printshop, and Research & Development to ensure cGMP compliance to FDA and Threshold established guidelines and specifications.
Key result to be achieved:
- Perform Quality Control inspections of product labels for printing defects and text accuracy.
- Use clean-room techniques to sample raw materials, bulk tablets, capsules, creams, and finished products according to established protocols.
- Maintain physical storage of retention samples, upkeep electronic location logs, and route samples to proper waste stream for discard at the end of the retention period.
- Input all inspection, sampling, and testing data into Excel spreadsheets, NAVision, and Workfront, and take accountability for accuracy and timeliness of data entry.
- Maintain in-house certification in the use of powered lifting equipment such as walkie-stacker, reach truck, electric pallet jack, and/or forklift to access materials on warehouse shelves.
- Assist Technical Analysts in stickering raw material and finished product lots as released or rejected in the warehouses as needed.
- Take responsibility for cleanliness and operational maintenance of ISO-8 clean room and stock of consumable sampling supplies.
- Participate as a fully engaged member of a self-directed work team to set and achieve department and company goals, contribute to continuous improvement projects for the quality team, and assist in QC procedural training as needed and appropriate.
- Other support duties as needed, including document routing, purchase requisitions, equipment calibration, data entry and performing various administrative and investigative tasks.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned by Threshold management.
Competency:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long period of times.
- Self-starter with the ability to learn and grow with changing role needs, able to work with little or no supervision and maintain a strong work ethic.

Required education and experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred education and experience:
- Understanding of industrial safety guidelines, federal standards, and following SOPs.ย
- Experience working in a warehouse environment, use of powered equipment such as walkie-stackers, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts, and/or troubleshooting problems with machinery.
- Experience with water treatment and testing methods and/or experience using handheld water testing meters.
- Experience with Navision software or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Experience using handheld water testing meters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
