    Columbus, OH
    The Resident Automation Technician III supports the customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset along with a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the site's performance through troubleshooting and hands-on repairs. Based at our customer site, the Resident Automation Technician III must represent the TGW image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.
    This is an onsite position at our customer in Columbus, OH
    Shift: Friday - Sunday 6am to 6:30pm
    What you'll be handling
    • Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
    • Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
    • Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment on-site, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems. Lead maintenance efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues requiring in-depth technical knowledge.
    • Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
    • Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.
    • Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory.

    What you'll need
    • Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Five plus (5+) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, or related environments.
    • Previous experience in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems.
    • Familiarity with HMI and/or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition interface) experience.
    • Profibus and Profinet experience.
