    Opportunity Overview

    Teradyne's Memory Test Division is seeking a Senior Reliability Design Engineer to help develop next-generation semiconductor test systems by driving reliability into products from concept through qualification and release. In this role, you will partner with instrumentation, automation, and system design teams to apply Teradyne's Design for Reliability (DfR) methodology, evaluate new technologies, reduce reliability risks, and improve product robustness throughout the development lifecycle.

    • Lead Design for Reliability (DfR) activities throughout product development, ensuring reliability requirements are incorporated early in the design process
    • Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to identify, assess, and mitigate reliability risks for complex electrical and electromechanical systems
    • Develop and execute reliability test strategies, including HALT, environmental stress testing, and accelerated life testing to validate product robustness
    • Apply reliability modeling, prediction, growth, and derating methods to improve system performance and product maturity
    • Perform failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective action activities to improve product reliability and quality
    • Collaborate with design teams to evaluate new technologies, influence design decisions, and support reliable product releases

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
    • 10+ years of reliability engineering experience supporting the design of electrical and electromechanical systems
    • Experience leading or facilitating Design FMEA (DFMEA) activities and Design for Reliability initiatives
    • Hands-on experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) and accelerated life testing methodologies
    • Knowledge of reliability prediction, reliability growth, reliability budgeting, and component derating techniques
    • Experience performing failure analysis, root cause investigations, and environmental stress testing
    • Proficiency with reliability and statistical analysis tools such as Weibull++, BlockSim, Alta, or similar platforms
    • Experience using engineering simulation and analysis tools, including Ansys Sherlock and Ansys Mechanical
    • Working knowledge of electronic test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across cross-functional teams

    Preferred

    • PhD in Reliability Engineering or related discipline
    • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or semiconductor test systems
    • Experience with fault-tolerant architectures, redundancy analysis, and predictive maintenance methodologies
    • Experience designing reliability test fixtures and developing test procedures

    We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

    Compensation

    The base salary range for this role is $155,500 - $248,900. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

    Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
