Job Description/ Responsibilities:
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Architect with deep expertise in Conga CPQ/CLM and PROS Smart CPQ platforms. This individual will lead end-to-end solutioning, architecture design, and implementation for complex configure-price-quote and revenue optimization engagements. You will work closely with business stakeholders, sales operations, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance CPQ solutions that drive revenue growth.
Solution Architecture & Design
• Design and own end-to-end CPQ architecture using Conga CPQ (Apttus) and/or PROS Smart CPQ, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Lead discovery workshops with business stakeholders to capture quoting, pricing, and contract lifecycle requirements.
• Define solution blueprints, data models, integration patterns, and configuration standards.
• Evaluate trade-offs between configuration, customization, and third-party integrations to recommend optimal approaches.
• Govern technical design decisions across project teams, ensuring adherence to platform best practices.
Implementation & Technical Delivery
• Configure and customize Conga CPQ / PROS modules including product catalog, pricing waterfalls, guided selling, approval workflows, and document generation.
• Develop Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning Web Components to extend Salesforce-based CPQ functionality.
• Build and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations between CPQ platforms and ERP, CRM, and e-commerce systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).
• Lead data migration efforts including product, pricing, and contract data from legacy systems.
• Perform code reviews and enforce development standards across the delivery team.
Pricing & Revenue Optimization (PROS)
• Architect PROS pricing intelligence solutions including AI-driven price optimization, deal scoring, and dynamic pricing models.
• Configure PROS pricing tables, price lists, segments, and guidance recommendations aligned to commercial strategy.
• Collaborate with pricing strategy teams to translate business rules into PROS pricing algorithms and workflows.
• Enable PROS analytics dashboards to support sales performance monitoring and margin management.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for CPQ/CLM engagements with clients and internal teams.
• Mentor junior developers and functional consultants on CPQ configuration, best practices, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to create and refine technical estimates, project plans, and risk logs.
• Present architecture proposals, technical designs, and project status updates to C-level and VP stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales activities including RFP responses, solution demonstrations, and effort estimation.
Quality, Governance & Testing
• Define and enforce QA standards, including unit testing frameworks and regression test plans for CPQ solutions.
• Lead UAT planning and execution in coordination with business stakeholders.
• Manage technical debt and platform upgrades in line with Conga and PROS release schedules.
• Ensure solutions comply with data security, privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and audit requirements.
Experience
• 8+ years of enterprise software implementation experience
• 5+ years hands-on with Conga CPQ (Apttus) or PROS Smart CPQ
• 3+ years in a Solution/Technical Architect capacity
• Proven delivery of large-scale CPQ projects ($1M+ engagements)
Technical Skills
• Salesforce platform (Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL)
• REST/SOAP API integration patterns
• Conga Composer, Conga Sign, or Conga Contracts
• PROS Pricing & Configure modules
• ERP integration: SAP S/4HANA or Oracle
