Job Summary:
LINX is hiring a Security Service Technician in Denver, CO to service and troubleshoot commercial access control systems for our existing customers across the Front Range.
If you have hands-on experience programming, troubleshooting, and repairing Genetec, Avigilon, or Software House CCure 9000 access control systems, and you enjoy working independently at customer sites, this role is built for you. This is a service and support position, not new construction installation. You will travel to occupied commercial buildings, diagnose access control problems, and fix them on-site.
Pay: $31.00โ$35.00/hour depending on experience level

You will work on systems LINX and other integrators have already installed, rather than performing new construction rough-in.
What You'll Be Doing
Service Call Execution & Site Ownership
- Own your daily schedule of service calls across Denver and the Front Range, coordinating priorities with the service coordinator
- Travel independently to occupied customer sites, including corporate offices and healthcare facilities, and represent LINX professionally at every stop
- Investigate customer complaints,identifythe root cause, and resolve the issue on-site whenever possible
Access Control Troubleshooting & Repair
- Troubleshoot and repair access control systems, including Genetec Security Center, Avigilon Alta and Unity, and Software House CCure 9000, at the hardware, software, and network level
- Diagnose and resolve issues with door controllers, card readers, credential readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, request to exit devices, and door position switches
- Configure and verify LAN/WAN network settings for IP based access control devices, including IP addressing and connectivity troubleshooting
- Order and gather replacement components and partsrequiredto complete each service call
- Perform acceptance testing to confirm system performance before closing out a ticket
Documentation & CRM
- Complete all service documentation in LINX's CRM platform, including forms, reports, logs, and ticket updates
- Maintainaccuraterecords of parts used, time on-site, and work performed on every call
Customer & Site Professionalism
- Communicate clearly with facilities managers and site contacts about the issue, the fix, and any needed follow-up
- Maintain personal tools and equipment, following manufactureroperatinginstructions and performing preventative maintenance
Minimum Requirements
Required:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience installing or servicing commercial access control systems specifically. Primarily CCTV or intrusion alarm experience does not meet this requirement
- Direct hands-on experience with at least one of the following enterprise access control platforms: Genetec Security Center, Avigilon Alta or Unity, Software House CCure 9000
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and TCP/IP as applied to IP based access control hardware
- Ability to work independently at customer sites with minimal direct supervision, managing your own daily travel schedule
- Valid driver's licenseand current auto insurance
- Must own a complete set of personal low voltage hand tools: snips, cable strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches. Specialty tools provided
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professional workingproficiencyin English, written and verbal
- Must pass a7 yearcriminal background check andpre employmentphysical and drug screening.
This Role Is Probably Not Right For You If
- You come from residential security and have not worked on commercial, enterprise grade access control platforms
- Your experience is primarily CCTV or intrusion alarm systems with only light exposure to access control
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $31.00 to $35.00/hour, depending on experience
