    Job description

                                                                        Early Career Sales Intern

Tandym Group is a nationwide recruiting and staffing company dedicated to helping people reach their highest potential, and we're looking for a Sales Intern to join our team!

Tandym Group is a leading recruitment firm that places the best talent for our clients using our job-market expertise. At Tandym Group, we believe that people are what moves companies forward. We look for the best of the best to work on our fast-growing recruitment teams. We do what is necessary to thrive in the exponentially growing field of recruiting.

We are seeking high-energy, highly engaged early-career professionals who demonstrate the ability to balance multiple responsibilities while consistently delivering results. The ideal candidate is not necessarily defined by perfect academic performance, but by evidence of drive, commitment, competitiveness, and follow-through.

Think you can help our team? Apply now!

    A day in the life:

    • Train with Account Executives, Business Development professionals, consultants, and leadership teams to understand how each business unit operates.
    • Learn sales fundamentals, consulting services, business development strategy, and client relationship management.
    • Participate in rotational experiences across Staffing Solutions, Consulting Solutions, and Life Sciences & Healthcare teams.
    • Attend client meetings, sales meetings, account planning sessions, Lunch & Learns, and executive speaker events.
    • Participate in lead generation, market mapping, pipeline management, and business development activities.
    • Conduct market and industry research to support client growth initiatives and sales strategy.
    • Build professional communication, networking, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
    • Collaborate on team projects, business initiatives, and operational improvement ideas.
    • Participate in mentorship and weekly coaching sessions with leaders across the organization.
    • Gain exposure to enterprise account management and solutions-based selling
    • Assist with CRM updates and sales activity tracking.
    • Shadow recruiting and talent delivery processes to better understand the full staffing and consulting lifecycle.
    • Complete a capstone project focused on business growth, sales strategy, operational improvement, or innovation opportunities.

    About you:

The ideal hire is a four-year college graduate from a reputable university who successfully completed their degree within a standard four- to five-year timeframe while maintaining a highly active and demanding schedule outside the classroom.

    Examples of Activities & Commitments

    • Varsity or club athletics
    • Fraternities or sororities
    • Student leadership organizations
    • Campus clubs and committees
    • Volunteer or philanthropic organizations
    • Student government
    • Internship programs
    • Entrepreneurial ventures or side businesses
    • Event planning or campus ambassador roles
    • Part-time employment while attending school

    What we are evaluating:

At Tandym Group, we look beyond GPA alone. We are focused on identifying individuals who demonstrate:

    • Time management
    • Accountability and consistency
    • Work ethic and resilience
    • Competitiveness
    • Social confidence and communication skills
    • Leadership potential
    • Ability to prioritize and execute
    • High levels of energy, activity, and motivation

    Why this matters:

Sales is fundamentally an activity and consistency business. The strongest performers are often those who can manage chaos, stay organized, maintain energy, and continue executing regardless of how busy or demanding their environment becomes.
Candidates with this type of background have already demonstrated:

    • They can juggle competing priorities
    • They are socially comfortable and relationship-oriented
    • They know how to operate within teams
    • They can commit to long-term goals while handling short-term pressures
    • They possess the discipline to continue showing up and producing results even when stretched thin

    Who We Are:

We've been pairing professionals in the work force with leading employers across the country for over three decades. We've filled over 100,000 jobs and counting for more than 35,000 companies. Tandym Group has been successful in expanding internally and nationally at a very fast pace and in order to keep up with this success, we need you!
Tandym Group is committed to the continuous success of all our 300+ employees. From our new-hire training and mentorship programs to our technology and custom resources, we ensure everyone on our team is supported from day one. You'll find work to be fun, fast-paced, and collaborative in nature. All of our success has stemmed from our company-wide core values, entrepreneurial spirit, and the trust we grant to our employees.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of total compensation package that also includes benefits, and other opportunities at Tandym. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal pay parity relative to other Tandym employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Tandym to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.

All are welcome to be part of Tandym Group! We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
