Job description

The Role:
Taltran Global has been exclusively retained by a family office-backed home services investment platform to recruit a Director of Systems & Integration. The company acquires and operates home services businesses and currently owns three operating companies, with a fourth acquisition actively closing and a goal of completing multiple acquisitions annually. The platform partners with local leaders to scale their businesses while preserving established brands and entrepreneurial cultures, using shared systems, performance visibility, and operating best practices to drive growth.

The Director of Systems & Integration will report directly to the Founder & CEO and will own the technology and business-systems backbone of the platform - both at the corporate level and across each operating company. This is not a traditional IT support role or a hands-on software-development role. It is primarily an M&A integration and business-systems function: translating the company's operating model into repeatable implementation plans, owning data cleanup and migration, coordinating technical work with third-party implementation partners, and driving adoption at the operating-company level.

Practical AI fluency is also important. The company wants someone who has built and deployed AI-driven tools or workflows that a business genuinely relies on, such as automating a data process or building a live reporting dashboard, not someone who is simply comfortable prompting an LLM.

The immediate priority is successful implementation and adoption of the company's core systems, particularly ServiceTitan, followed by a repeatable post-acquisition integration playbook. Over time, this person will help shape the company's data architecture, including a company-wide data layer and AI-driven query tools.

Key Responsibilities:
The Director of Systems & Integration will oversee technology strategy, business systems, and M&A integration across the platform, including but not limited to:

· Own execution of the systems integration playbook for each newly acquired company - from data cleanup through go-live, working alongside third-party implementation partners for backend/technical build

· Serve as the de facto owner of the company's core technology stack, including ServiceTitan, Zoho and other CRM tools, QuickBooks Online, Portal.io, Ramp, and related systems

· Partner with Finance on system integrations, standardized data, and consolidated reporting, and evaluate future finance & accounting tools as the company scales

· Identify, evaluate, and implement AI tools and workflows that measurably reduce manual work or improve decision-making for portfolio company leaders and their teams

· Build reporting dashboards and tools that give operators and executives a clear, daily view into their business

· Develop the company's broader systems roadmap and a scalable integration playbook covering technology diligence, pre-close planning, data migration, implementation standards, and post-close adoption for future acquisitions

· Manage software vendors and implementation partners, including scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and accountability

· Partner closely with field-based operators, technicians, and local business leaders, as well as Operations, Finance, and Sales, to translate business needs into practical technology solutions, build trust, drive adoption, and minimize disruption to day-to-day operations

· Optionally participate in prospective acquisition meetings, speaking to the company's technology stack and operating model as part of the platform's pitch to sellers

Qualifications and Experience:

· Typically 4-7 years of progressive experience in business systems, technology implementation, M&A integration, consulting, or a private equity portfolio operations or value-creation role

· Demonstrated, hands-on AI proficiency, with specific examples of AI tools or workflows that were built, deployed, and adopted by a client or employer, not just familiarity with ChatGPT or Claude

· Proven experience evaluating, implementing, and optimizing enterprise business systems, ideally including CRM, ERP or financial, business-intelligence, or field-service management platforms

· A process-oriented project-management mindset, with the ability to own multiple workstreams, resolve issues, and drive projects to completion without heavy oversight

· High energy, resourcefulness, and drive, with a low-ego, hands-on approach and the ability to build credibility with field-based, non-technical teams and operate effectively without a large team or extensive infrastructure

· Experience in home services, construction, field services, or another operationally intensive industry is preferred; experience with M&A integration is ideal

· No coding background is required; the role is about directing and implementing, not building software from scratch, but sufficient technical fluency to work effectively with APIs, data structures, BI tools, and low-code automation platforms is required
