Job Location: Hybrid Opportunity with onsite location at Merrifield, VA (3-days on-site weekly requirement)Responsibilities:The Senior Network Engineer will:Provide support to classified and unclassified Tier 3 senior-level support for the design, implementation, and deployment of network-specific technologies across the DEA Enterprise environment, consisting of hundreds of locations worldwide. Provide engineering and operational support for cloud providers, including AWS and Azure, on-premise data centers, campus networks, Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Networks (DMVPN), Firewall, Layer 2/3, wireless networks, network applications installed on client workstations, optimization of various LAN and WAN environments, data center load balancing, and network access security to include 802.1x and Cisco ISE.Requirements:Active/current Secret Clearance is required at the time of hire.7+ years of relevant experienceBachelors degree in a related field or relevant work experienceExperience designing and supporting network access security solutionsExpert knowledge of Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking including routing, switching, and troubleshooting at scaleStrong experience with LAN, WAN, and global network optimizationUnderstand Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) environmentsStrong expertise with 802.1X authenticationHands-on experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) Experience providing engineering and operational support for cloud networking in Amazon Web Services and Microsoft AzureStrong understanding of VMWare environmentsExperience providing design, implementation, and deployment of network-specific technologiesAbility to operate effectively in high-pressure, mission-critical environmentsStrong troubleshooting methodology and root-cause analysis skillsExperience supporting strict change management and approval processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong documentation discipline and operational rigorCCIE or CCNP certification is preferred
