    Job description

    Communications Specialist Pensacola, FL - hybrid (3 days a week onsite) Shift (Time): 8:00am - 4:30pm CST Pay Rate: Open to Both C2C and W2 options Position Type: Multiyear Contract Description: • Responsible for writing, delivering, and measuring communications that align with project objectives and engage internal audiences • Create and execute communication plans across multiple channels. • Manage internal communication channels, leverage project management tools, and adhere to established processes. • Collaborate closely with team members, cross-functional partners, and key stakeholders to ensure communications are aligned, timely, and impactful. • Review communications for compliance with guidelines and contribute to team deliverables with increasing independence. • Perform assignments of moderate scope and complexity, applying judgment within defined parameters. Responsibilities: • Create, deliver, and measure internal communications that align with project objectives and engage employees. • Assist in developing communication strategies for small to medium-scale initiatives and organizational priorities. • Align messaging with project objectives and employee engagement goals. • Draft and deliver clear, engaging content across internal channels (e.g., intranet, email, digital signage). • Write professional documents using compelling language tailored to specific audiences and tone of voice. • Translate complex project challenges into clear, audience-focused messaging. • Gather information to support the drafting, distribution, and measurement of communication tactics. • Manage communication timelines to ensure timely execution. • Support project planning by reviewing timelines and using content management systems and tracking tools. • Contribute to change communications and employee engagement initiatives. • Coordinate logistics and resources for communication campaigns and internal events. • Assist in collecting and analyzing feedback and communication metrics to inform strategy. • Develop foundational skills in data analysis and measurement to improve communication effectiveness. • Collaborate with team members to identify resources needed for communication projects. • Conduct assignments of small to moderate scope and complexity while building autonomy, judgment, and influence. • May perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Bring 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field. • Be a strong writer who can translate complex information into clear, employee-friendly messaging. • Demonstrate the ability to create and execute communication plans across multiple channels (intranet, email, digital platforms, etc.). • Be comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Show experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align messaging and priorities. • Have a foundational understanding of employee engagement and change communications. • Be detail-oriented with the ability to review content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with guidelines. • Be comfortable using or learning internal communication platforms and tools (e.g., SharePoint, AEM, Staff base, Asana). • Have a data-informed mindset, with interest in measuring communication effectiveness and applying insights to improve outcomes. • Be a proactive team player who can balance structure and creativity while working with increasing independence. #M1 #LI-VH1 Ref: #851-Rockville-S1
