Swoon is hiring a HR Generalist for our client located in Newport News, VA!
About the Role
Please note: This is a Contract to Hire opportunity 5x days per week onsite. The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, providing day-to-day HR support across employee relations, leave administration, benefits, compliance, and general HR operations. This role is ideal for an HR professional looking to expand their experience in a collaborative environment with strong mentorship and long-term career growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave eligibility, documentation, and return-to-work processes.
- Assist with benefits administration, employee enrollments, vendor coordination, and open enrollment activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area.
- 1-3+ years' of experience working in Human Resources.
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
