What You'll Do

As a Residential Specialist, you will:

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings.
• Assist individuals with transportation, daily activities, community participation, and achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans and Behavior Support Plans.
• Promote independence, dignity, personal choice, inclusion, and the development of life skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation including medication administration records, daily logs, progress notes, incident reports, and other required records.
• Collaborate with coworkers, families, supervisors, and support teams to ensure high-quality services and compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.

QualificationsRequired:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred:

• Previous experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a human services setting

Schedule

• Part-Time
• Flexible scheduling based on program needs
• Weekend and holiday hours may be required
• On-call or emergency support may be required as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals as needed throughout the workday
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
