JOB SUMMARY:TheOperations Team Leadserves as the primary operational resource between frontline team members and management. This position provides guidance, workflow coordination, issue resolution, and operational support to ensure the efficient execution of transportation services. The role may support specific operational functions including dispatch, customer service, driver management, shipment tracking, load planning, capacity management, and extended-hoursoperations. The Operations Team Lead acts as a subject matter expert and provides daily leadership while supporting operational continuity and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
Provide guidance and daily support to team members.
Assistwith workloadbalancingand task assignment.
Support employee development through coaching and mentoring.

Operations Management
Monitor transportation operations and service execution.
Identifyand resolve operational disruptions.
Coordinate internal and external communications.
Support load planning and capacity management activities.
Customer & Driver Support
Serve as an escalation point for service-related issues.
Providetimelycommunicationregardingshipment status.
Supportdriverand customerneedsasrequired.
Process Improvement
Identifytrends and recommend operational improvements.
Support pilot programs and special projects.
Generate operational and ad hoc reporting.
Coverage & Continuity
Performfunctionsof frontline operational positions as needed.
Maintain workflow continuity during staffing shortages or high-volume periods.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
2-4yearstransportation,logistics, or fleet operations experience.
Working knowledge of DOT and Hours of Service regulations.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Strong communicationand problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor'sdegree.
Experience leading transportation orlogisticsteams.
Knowledge of AS400.
Experience in fleet operations, dispatch, driver management, or customer operations.
