    Job description

    SUMMARY:

    Safely performs manufacturing, secondary operations, packaging, and labeling processes to productively ensure quality products are shipped on time to our customers.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    1. Actively promotes and drive a culture of safety and adhere to DuPont’s core values.
    2. Follows procedures and work instructions to ensure the integrity and quality of our customers’ products are not compromised.
    3. Monitors scrap that is produced at the press and escalate if needed.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Be on time and ready to work at your workstation when your shift starts. Work until the end of the shift, allowing some time to clean up for the next shift.
    2. Read and complete all required paperwork.
    3. Efficiently operate the machine. May be required to run up to 4 automatic presses.
    4. While operating machines, visually inspect parts and perform basic dimensional inspections using gages and calipers. May be required to trim parts and inspect using a microscope.
    5. Monitor parts for quality defects and notify the technician, lead, or supervisor of defective parts produced.
    6. Notify technicians, lead, or supervisor of unplanned downtime.
    7. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
    8. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the shop, department, or work crew.
    9. Perform housekeeping duties, clean room monitoring, and production assignments within the department.
    10. Other duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING:

    Have good hand and eye coordination. Must be able to read and write English, communicate with co-workers, have the ability to interpret documents and able to use measuring devices. High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

     While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or sit for 8 or more hours.

     Must be able to handle small injection molded parts or packaging components. In some cases, the use of tweezers

     and a microscope is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision

     abilities required by this job include inspecting through a microscope.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and heat. Employees who work in a clean room environment must wear gowns, hair coverings, and booties.
