    The Impact You'll Make in this Role
    As a Solventum Software Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by developing speech recognition software that helps physicians to document more effectively, leaving more time for face-to-face patient care.
    You will work in various areas of our speech recognition projects to improve speed, accuracy, security and privacy of our products.
    How you will make an impact
    • Gather requirements from researchers and stakeholders
    • Implement features and algorithms in C++, including unit and integration tests
    • Periodically perform code reviews for your peers and assist with release builds
    • Develop your intra-divisional network and provide technical consulting and mentoring.
    • Meet standards for required compliance training and software quality.

    Your Skills and Expertise
    To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university AND minimum of 7+ combined years of experience in software development.

    AND
    In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required.
    • Two (2) years of experience writing production code in C++, Rust, Java or other strongly typed object-oriented programming language (course work and internships are not considered).
    • Experience with testing frameworks and tools and unit testing.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in communicating in spoken and written English.

    Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
    • An understanding of statistics
    • Knowledge or experience with machine learning inference, specifically for speech recognition
    • Familiarity with real-time audio processing and audio compression codecs
    • Experience with a very large code base
    • Experience writing C++ code
    • Windows, Linux
    • Git / GitHub / Jira
    • Jenkins / GitHub Actions
    • Other tools: Visual Studio, CoPilot for software development

    Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $124,000 - $170,500, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
