Job description

Direct Client based in Hartville, OH is urgently searching for a full-time Plastic Injection Mold Technician / Processing Technician. 

Salary range:   $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Benefits:          401(k), Health insurance, generous PTO

Work Loc:        Onsite (Mon -  Fri) Hartville, OH

Position Overview:  The Processing Technician is responsible for establishing and maintaining mold-related processes, including determining cost-effective injection molding methods for manufacturing products
 
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering on new mold designs
  • Conduct mold trials, sampling, and pilot runs
  • Establish and document injection molding processes for new molds
  • Identify and document Scientific Molding opportunities
  • Provide feedback to engineering on new tooling performance
  • Determine labor requirements for new molds
  • Recommend automation and auxiliary equipment to reduce labor costs
  • Maintain machine specifications data and scientific molding process files
  • Lead and train on Client's molding applications
  • Work with production and plant managers to evaluate supervisors using the Client's skill set training matrix
Requirements:
  • Own tools
  • Knowledge of mold storage, handling, and injection molding equipment
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection devices
  • Commitment to safety and use of all safety precautions
Specific Skills and Qualifications:
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Experienced in setup and formal processing training
  • Understanding and demonstration of safety requirements for molds and equipment
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting
