Job Summary

Due to an accelerated commercialization timeline, we are seeking an experienced Commercial IT Launch Director / Business Partner Consultant to lead and support the build-out of our commercial technology capabilities ahead of product launch. This is an urgent, high-impact engagement — commercial activities are already ramping across the organization and the business can not wait for IT. The ideal candidate brings deep pharma commercial IT hands-on launch experience, operates with urgency and autonomy, and can immediately bridge the gap between business momentum and technology readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate data ingestion, validation, and quality processes across commercial data sources.
  • Partner with analytics and data engineering teams to ensure warehouse supports launch analytics needs by Q3.

Veeva Ecosystem & Commercial Data

  • Manage Veeva platform configurations and integrations (CRM, Vault, Network, OpenData as applicable).
  • Oversee master data management, HCP/HCO data, and affiliate data within the Veeva ecosystem.
  • Ensure Veeva data flows are compliant, validated, and ready for commercial activation.

Branding & Unbranded Initiatives

  • Support technology enablement for both branded promotional and unbranded (disease awareness) programs.
  • Ensure digital and data infrastructure is in place for multichannel launch campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Regulatory on compliant content and data use.

Commercial Analytics & Operations

  • Enable commercial analytics capabilities including reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking for launch.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations on targeting, alignment, incentive compensation, and field reporting infrastructure.
  • Ensure business intelligence tools are launch-ready and accessible to key stakeholders.

Partnership & Governance

  • Establish interim IT-business partnership structures while formal governance models are developed.
  • Represent Commercial IT in cross-functional launch team meetings.
  • Provide regular status updates on IT readiness, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to building the long-term Commercial IT partnership and operating model.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial technology or commercial IT.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading a commercial launch in pharma / biotech.
  • Hands-on expertise with Veeva CRM and at least one other Veeva platform (Vault, Network, OpenData).
  • Experience building or managing a Commercial Data Warehouse in a pharma context.
  • Prior engagement in a Business Partner or Business-facing IT leadership role.
  • Experience working in a consulting or fractional leadership capacity is strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of pharma commercial data sources (IQVIA, Symphony, claims, etc.)

Core Competencies

  • Operates with urgency — able to engage immediately and drive results on compressed timelines.
  • Strong business acumen; able to partner credibly with commercial leaders.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and shaping structure where none exists.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a "divide and conquer" delivery approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with pre-launch and at-launch CDW / analytics environment build-out.
  • Prior work on both branded and unbranded pharmaceutical programs.
