FATHERHOOD SERVICES SUPERVISOR - HYBRID

PRIMARY FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILTY

The Fatherhood ServicesSupervisor provides leadership and oversight forfatherhood services at SJRC Texas. This role ensures that staff deliver high-quality, family-centered services, andbrings awareness to our fatherhood services by providingresources, support, andeducationfor familiesin the community. The Supervisor is responsible for staff supervision, program compliance, community partnerships, and maintaining a supportive environment that reflects the organization’s mission and values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee program planning, delivery, and compliance of the Fatherhood EFFECT Grant: Educating Fathers for Empowering Children Tomorrow (EFFECT) Program in Comal and Victoria Counties.
• Support and promote the philosophy and integrity of Nurturing Fathers Program by maintaining certification and teaching classes when needed to meet program requirements.
• Help oversee inventory, reporting and compliance of the Safe Riders Grant.
• Support and promote car seat safety maintaining certification and teaching classes when needed.
• Supervise, coach, and support staff, volunteers, and interns; provide training and professional development opportunities.
• Monitor program activities to ensure fidelity, compliance with funding requirements, and achievement of outcomes.
• Facilitate referrals, resource navigation, and service coordination for families.
• Track and report program data, outcomes, and service delivery to ensure continuous quality improvement
• Plan and oversee fatherhood events, parent education workshops, and community outreach activities.
• Coordinate with SJRC Texas marketing department for promotion of Fatherhood Programming.
• Build and maintain Fatherhood community partner relationships and program recruitment.
• Design and lead community-wide Fatherhood Initiative Coalition meetings.
• Promote a culture of respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence among staff and families served.
• Handle escalated family, team member, and community partner concerns with professionalism, empathy, and a solution focused lens.
• Consistently enforce all SJRC Texas and Family Enrichment Department Policies and Procedures
• Meet training and continuing education standards as required by SJRC Texas and grant funders.
• Focus on continuous improvement, semi-annually assessing Program Staff’s skill levels and quality of program service delivery
• Develop and maintain strong community partnerships with schools, social service agencies, healthcare providers, and other organizations.
• Communicate Program successes to agency and community.
• Respect confidentiality and privacy with regards to fatherhood clients, team members and organization
• Takes ownership in departmental/organizational problems with continuous performance improvement as a goal
• Ensure maintenance of accurate logs and records as required by SJRC Texas and Community Enrichment Department
• Design, implement and maintain data collection procedures
• Support and promote the philosophy of SJRC Texas and the integrity of our programs
• Participation in staff meetings, trainings, and conferences as required by the Community Enrichment Department and SJRC Texas
• Complete monthly auditing and reports as required by funders.
• Supervise and support Fatherhood Specialists; complete 2 hours of reflective supervision with each direct report per month
• Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or other human services field
• 2+ Years in child welfare or other human services field

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work of other human services field
• 5+ Years in child welfare or other human services field

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:

• Valid state driver’s license, good driving record, ability to provide own transportation and proof of current automobile insurance
• CPR/First Aid Certification

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION

• Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, walk and walk briskly in order to interact with families and children
• Stamina to work long days and drive long distances
• Moderate to heavy lifting to 60 pounds unassisted and up to 120 pounds or more with assistance
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Must have ability to give and receive verbal and written instructions
• Must have ability to read fine print, have sustained vision and peripheral vision
• Environment requires dexterity to remain calm and adapt to fast paced and emotional environments
• Home-like settings with varying moderate to high degrees of background noise. Light and ventilation are found in a typical home setting
• Campuses are smoke-free, except on permitted campuses in designated areas
• Possible injury when lifting or moving (child or objects) if employee fails to use proper body mechanics
