Job description

Job Summary:
SimIS Inc. is an innovative information technology solution Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) that provides technical leadership for complex simulation and training systems. The Senior Systems Administrator will lead systems engineering activities, manage multi-site operations, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver expertise in developing and reviewing system requirements, specifications, and technical documentation
• Manage multi-site operations with distributed teams across multiple geographic locations
• Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms
• Demonstrated experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements and accreditation processes
• Use experience gained to help manage complex technical programs involving simulation systems and training environments
Qualifications:
Required:
• Eight (8) years of systems administration experience with three (3) years in leadership roles
• Must meet DOD 8570 requirements for Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
• Experience and Knowledge of Navy tactical systems and combat information center operations
• SECRET clearance
• Deliver expertise in developing and reviewing system requirements, specifications, and technical documentation
• Manage multi-site operations with distributed teams across multiple geographic locations
• Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms
• Demonstrated experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements and accreditation processes
• Use experience gained to help manage complex technical programs involving simulation systems and training environments
Preferred:
• Master's degree or relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISPA)
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-site operations with distributed teams across multiple geographic locations
• Experience with government reporting requirements and CDRL deliverables
• Certified CISSP, CISM, CISPA
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with NSWCDD or Navy programs
