Sight Partners Careers.


We are seeking a Medical Optometrist to join our collaborative, patient-centered team. This is a rare opportunity to practice full-scope optometry alongside fellowship-trained ophthalmologists in a modern, high-volume medical setting-while enjoying an adventurous lifestyle that only Alaska can offer.


What You'll Do

Provide comprehensive optometric care to a broad and medically diverse patient population
Work closely with ophthalmologists in a respected co-management model
Evaluate and manage a wide range of ocular conditions such as:
- Post-operative cases
- Glaucoma, Anterior/posterior segment disease, Ocular trauma, Neuro-ophthalmic disorders
Complete thorough medical histories and create customized treatment plans
Educate patients on conditions, treatments, and preventive eye health
Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Perform other duties as needed to support excellent patient care




Requirements


Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
Eligibility for Alaska State Optometry licensure
1-2+ years of medical optometry experience or completion of an ACOE-accredited residency
Strong preference for experience in a medically focused or surgical co-management setting
A passion for patient care, teamwork, and continuous professional growth
