    At Sierra Space, we build the missions and systems that keep our world secure in the domain above Earth.
    Sierra Space team members share a spirit of innovation and collaboration and a belief that we can deliver on the boldest missions in space today. Together with our customers, we aim to safeguard our nation, sustain human presence in space, and secure the freedom of operations in low Earth orbit and beyond.
    Our success is measured by the trust of those who rely on what we build and deliver, and our technologies keep the United States and its allies mission-ready throughout space.

    We are mission-driven, and together, we are an extraordinary team.

    About the Role

    About You

    Our mission is driven by an unyielding commitment to advancing space-based technology in service of our customers and safeguarding national security. We seek individuals who are passionate about innovating beyond boundaries and relentlessly pursuing solutions that protect, preserve and empower - to join us in this critical mission.
    We're looking for team members who align with our values, mission and goals - while also meeting the minimum qualifications below. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

    The Control Account Manager (CAM) will oversee financial planning, tracking, and analysis of designated control accounts within our organization. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in earned value management (EVM) and project controls.

    Role Responsibilities
      * Establish and maintain control account plans in accordance with company policies and contractual requirements
    * Develop and manage work breakdown structures (WBS) for assigned projects
    * Monitor project performance against established baselines using earned value metrics
    * Prepare and analyze variance reports, identifying root causes of cost and schedule deviations
    * Forecast project costs and schedules based on current performance data
    * Collaborate with project managers, functional managers, and technical leads to ensure accurate planning and reporting
    * Lead regular status reviews with stakeholders to communicate project financial health
    * Implement corrective actions to address performance issues
    * Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and contract requirements
    * Work closely with the programs' Technical, Scheduling and Risk Leads and other CAMs to ensure cost, risk, schedule, and performance are aligned across the program
    * Coach, teach, and mentor junior team members on EVM principles and practices

    Minimum Qualifications:
      * Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +3 yrs experience) in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
    * Typically 5+ years of related experience as a Control Account Manager or similar role
    * Strong knowledge of earned value management systems (EVMS) and project control methodologies
    * Proficiency with project management and EVM software tools
    * Experience with government contracting requirements (DCMA, FAR/DFARS) preferred
    * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    * Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
    * PMP, EVP, or similar certification preferred
    * Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

    Skills
      * Budget development and management
    * Cost and schedule variance analysis
    * Risk assessment and mitigation
    * Stakeholder communication
    * Cross-functional team collaboration
    * Data analysis and reporting
    * Contract compliance

    Preferred
      * Active TS/SCI clearance

    Compensation:

    Pay Range:

    $128,084.00 - $176,115.50

    Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE:

    This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
