    Working Days: Sunday thru Saturday, driven by events schedule, Approx. 22 days per month broken up into (15-17 Event days, 5-7 Office days)

    Travel Required: Yes (approx. 95%)

    Job Overview

    Technical Elements is seeking an Audio Department Manager to lead the audio team across live events and internal operations. This role oversees audio system design, prep, deployment, tuning, maintenance, and team coordination to ensure consistent, high-quality results for every project.
    The Audio team at Technical Elements supports events from inception to completion and works closely with management, production, warehouse, and repair teams to turn show requirements into build-ready, real-world audio solutions.

    Responsibilities
    • Lead the audio department’s daily operations, scheduling, and show support.
    • Oversee audio system prep, maintenance, inventory repair, QC, and documentation.
    • Lead audio planning for upcoming events, including system packages, signal flow, patching, RF coordination, and console workflows.
    • Collaborate with production, warehouse, sales, and other department leads to ensure audio systems are scalable, show‑ready, and aligned with client expectations.
    • Supervise, train, and support full-time audio staff and freelancers.
    • Support on-site execution including system deployment, tuning, troubleshooting, and show leadership when needed.
    Skills Required
    • Professional live sound system knowledge for corporate events, concerts, and special events.
    • Digital audio consoles such as Yamaha, DiGiCo, Allen & Heath, Avid, Midas, or comparable platforms.
    • Wireless microphone and RF coordination platforms such as Shure Wireless Workbench, Wavetool, Sennheiser, or equivalent tools.
    • System processing, networking, gain structure, and troubleshooting across analog and digital audio workflows.
    • Knowledge of PA deployment, loudspeaker optimization, DSP, signal flow, patching, intercom, and playback systems.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure.
    • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
