Job description

RCA Ambulance is looking for experienced automotive professionals to work in our maintenance/repair shop located at our Bronx Office.This hands-on position is responsible for all preventative maintenance & mechanical repairs needed for RCA gas vehicles. Experienced candidates may also be responsible for additional tasks including overseeing parts distribution and inventory as well as purchasing equipment, materials and supplies.Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on company fleet vehicles (Ford gas vehicles) including wheelchair vans, ambulances and response vehicles.Performing preventative maintenance in a timely manner to reduce breakdowns and costsUpdating any and all managers of concerns and potential problems with employees or equipmentInforming operations of any equipment that needs to be restocked or replacedMaintaining a pleasant and professional cooperative attitude with co-workers, departments and clientsReporting to work at the appointed hour, as scheduled, and working the entire assigned scheduleBeing accountable for all work within the assigned jobEnhancing the operations department's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsAdhering to all company policies and proceduresHigh School Diploma or GED required.Auto repair/maintenance experience, with gas vehiclesMechanical and technical aptitudeMust have a valid driver's licenseMust have four years of driving experienceMust be a self starterExperience with Ford E250, E350 and Transit trucks is a plusExperience with emergency vehicles is a plus
