Position Overview

SFI is seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Scrum Master to support a federal customer. This hybrid role combines strong business analysis expertise with Agile Scrum leadership to deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions.

The ideal candidate will work closely with government stakeholders, product teams, and developers to translate product strategy into actionable user stories while guiding Agile processes and removing barriers to team success.

Requirements

Business Analysis
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate product strategy and roadmap into user stories, features, and enablersย 
  • Analyze user needs to define functional and cross-functional requirements across the SDLCย 
  • Decompose large epics into clear, testable user stories with defined acceptance criteriaย 
  • Manage and maintain the product backlog in Jiraย 
  • Support backlog grooming, prioritization, and release planningย 
  • Conduct bi-weekly testing and validation of completed user storiesย 
  • Ensure delivered functionality aligns with requirements and customer expectationsย 
Scrum Master / Agile Leadership
  • Serve as Scrum Master, ensuring Agile best practices are followedย 
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including:ย 
    • Backlog Refinementย 
    • Sprint Planningย 
    • Daily Stand-Upsย 
    • Sprint Reviews / Demosย 
    • Sprint Retrospectivesย 
  • Identify and remove impediments and blockers to team progressย 
  • Coach team members to improve processes, collaboration, and delivery outcomesย 
  • Track and communicate team metrics and performance indicatorsย 
Collaboration & Support
  • Support the Project Manager in coordinating meetings, presentations, and deliverablesย 
  • Engage with customers and end users to address questions and gather feedbackย 
  • Promote strong communication across technical and non-technical teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or six (6) years of equivalent work experience instead of a degreeย 
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Business Analystย 
  • At least two (2) years of experience serving as a Scrum Master supporting IT/software development effortsย 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed, comprehensive, testable, and traceable requirements, including:ย 
    • Business Requirementsย 
    • Functional Requirementsย 
    • Data Requirementsย 
    • System/Software Specificationsย 
    • Use Casesย 
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsย 
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluenceย 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detailย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsย 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting federal government programsย 
  • Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalentย 
  • Experience working in regulated or secure environmentsย 
Clearance & Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United Statesย 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearanceย 
  • Willingness to complete fingerprinting and background investigation for system access and badging

Other Information:

  • The salary for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 annually
