Position Description
The Physics Department at Seattle University is inviting applications for twopart-time adjunctfacultyforthe 2026-27 academic year.Position 1willteach one section ofalgebra-based introductory mechanics, PHYS 1050in Fall Quarter and two sections of introductory physics laboratory in each of Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters.Position 2will teach 4 sections ofintroductoryphysics laboratory in Fall Quarter only.The instructorsmust be available on campusfor in-person instruction and office hours.

MinimumQualifications

  • Master's degree in physics or a related discipline; or bachelor's degree plus three years graduate study in physics

  • Demonstrated interest or experience teaching at the college level

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.
