School Behavior Technician (SBT)
Full-Time, 8am - 3pm, Mon- Fri. Some schools may require 7:15am - 4:30pm.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students? Do you have a knack for fostering positive behavior and creating a supportive learning environment? Holding Hands LLC. is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a School Behavior Technician (SBT).

  • A Day in the life of a School Behavior Technician
  • Use a model of therapy referred to as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a school setting.
  • Provide behavioral support for students in the classroom, either generally for the classroom or 1-on-1 with students.
  • Analyze environmental factors that may be inhibiting the student's ability to access school curriculum.
  • Work with teachers and other school professionals to customize the intervention to each student's skills, needs, interests, developmental profile, preferences, and setting.
  • Receive ongoing training and supervision throughout the treatment period by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) or a Master's level ABA Supervisor.
  • Help students achieve their greatest possible academic, social, and emotional success in his/her school environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent PLUS completed college courses (60 units) OR an Associate's degree.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable source of transportation, and active auto insurance
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and professionalism, allowing you to work effectively with students, teachers, and others in a school setting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ months of ABA experience
  • ABA experience in a classroom setting
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPR certification in both pediatrics and adults
  • Experienced and comfortable managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors, ranging anywhere from non-compliance, elopement, verbal and physical aggression, self-injurious behaviors, etc.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 1 full school year as a School Behavior Technician (SBT) to ensure students can reach their potential
  • Bilingual
