Job description

Savan Group is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to join its Records Information Management (RIM) service line and take an active role in project execution, stakeholder management, and key business development activities. Our PMs play a critical role within projects by leading projects through the entire initiative lifecycle, including staffing, planning, and execution. Savan Group values rigorous problem-solving and analytical skills to support our clients.ย 
In this role, you will serve as Savan Groupโ€™s projectย leadย for a Federal RIM program support engagement. You will oversee a team of consultants and RIM Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who provide enterprise records management support spanning the records lifecycle.ย The Project Managerย - RIMย will work with a variety of stakeholders, client leaders, and the Savan project team to develop the integrated project and program plans, presentations, reporting methodologies, risk reports, management dashboards, and lessons learned.ย The Project Managerย โ€“ RIMย will haveย demonstratedย success in project planning and scheduling, risk and issue management, and performance reporting.ย Asย a Savanย Group PM, you will also manage and provide internal reporting on project financials, growth/business development, and staff performance.ย 
Role Responsibilities:ย 

  • Lead the development and sustainment of key project management artifacts to aid in the effective management of the project (e.g., project plan, integrated master schedule, risk register, action item tracker, staffing plans, performance reports, dashboarding, etc.)ย 
  • Advise stakeholders and team members onย appropriate coursesย of action on complex enterprise records management program challengesย ย 
  • Track and provide quality assurance of contract deliverables and major work products, helpย identifyย and communicate major milestones, and proactively resolve project issues.ย 
  • Understand and articulate milestones, dependencies, critical path actions, and risks.ย 
  • Develop andย maintainย a high levelย of engagement withย seniorย leaders and stakeholders.ย 

Qualifications and Requirements:ย 
  • Minimum of 5 years managing records management support services including multiโ€‘workstream leadership and government stakeholder engagement.ย 
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in an Information Management related fieldย (e.g., Information Science/Management, Library/Archives, Data/Information Governance) or business discipline (e.g., MBA, Management)ย 
  • Strong project management skills (planning, metrics, risk/issue management, vendor oversight) and excellent business writing/briefing skills.ย 
  • Ability to obtain andย maintainย required government clearance.ย 

Preferred Qualifications:ย 
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM)ย certificationย 
  • Ability to translateย legal andย clientย requirements into activitiesย and deliverablesย 
  • Experience providing advisory supportย for senior program staff and leadersย 
  • General awareness of records management policies,ย proceduresย and challengesย 
  • Previousย experience developing or updating policy and procedure documentationย 
  • Understanding of governance considerations for common business applications and platformsย
