Saronic Technologies is seeking an IT Production Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across our manufacturing environment. This role sits at the intersection of IT and production, ensuring that critical systems-such as Zebra printers, barcode scanners, production workstations, and manufacturing applications-operate reliably and efficiently. You will be a key IT partner to manufacturing, and operations teams, supporting day-to-day production activities while driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and uptime.

• Provide frontline and escalated support for manufacturing systems and operational technology, including Zebra printers (ZPL configuration and troubleshooting), barcode scanners, production-floor workstations and displays, shop-floor networking, and connected IoT devices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, and network issues impacting production, with urgency and precision to minimize downtime.

• Act as a primary responder for manufacturing system incidents and coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts when necessary.

• Support data-related tasks and production workflows, including basic query troubleshooting (SQL, Splunk; Python is a plus).

• Coordinate IT support with the broader IT team.

• Maintain knowledge base articles and support documentation for supported systems and processes.

• Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3+ years of IT experience supporting manufacturing technology, or a similar role.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing systems (MES, PLCs, SCADA).

• Experience with industrial label printers (Zebra, ZPL, BarTender, etc.).

• Experience supporting production environments or shop-floor systems.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• Occasional standing and walking within the office

• Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment

• Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports

• Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies

• Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
