    The Difference You Make:
    As an Associate in Santander's Los Angeles Investment Banking coverage team, your responsibilities will span a wide range of quantitative and qualitative skills, with strong emphasis on project management, mentorship of junior staff and client interaction. Associates will develop technical mastery and deal execution skills across all investment banking products including M&A, LevFin and ECM while building a robust professional network, both internally and externally.

    Essential Functions/ResponsibilityStatements:

    • Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across three coverage groups: Financial Sponsors, Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure ("REGAL") and Industrial Services.
    • Drive execution process across the entire transaction lifecycle, from initial deal origination through closing.
    • Prepare client presentations, pitch books and financial analyses including the development, management and review of financial models, valuation analyses and transaction documentation.
    • Ensure accuracy in deliverables while adhering to execution timelines.
    • Mentor Analysts and support talent development initiatives.
    • Actively participate in client meetings and deal discussions.
    • Adhere to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance withallapplicable regulatory standards, requirements and policies

    Qualifications:

    • Education:
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent: in Finance, Business or equivalent degree - Required.
      • Master's Degree / MBA - Preferred.
    • Work Experience:
      • 3+ Years Finance, Business or related field/sector - Required.
    • Skills and Abilities:
      • Demonstrated knowledge ofcorporate finance and investment banking products, with a preference for experience in Financial Sponsors, Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure ("REGAL") and / or Industrial Services.
      • Expertknowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with advancedfinancial modeling and valuation skills.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Team player andself-starter.
      • Strong interest and knowledge of AI tools and capabilities preferred.
    • Certifications:
      • Active FINRA Licenses 7 and 63 required at or shortly upon start date.
