Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a patient, reliable, and professional Driving Instructor to provide classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to students of all ages. The instructor will teach safe driving techniques, traffic laws, defensive driving skills, and prepare students to become responsible, licensed drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct behind-the-wheel driving lessons according to state regulations.
  • Teach students safe driving habits, defensive driving techniques, and vehicle operation.
  • Provide classroom or virtual driver education instruction, when required.
  • Evaluate student driving performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure students understand and follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Complete required student records, progress reports, and attendance documentation.
  • Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure training vehicles are clean and safe.
  • Schedule lessons and maintain communication with students and parents.
  • Prepare students for state driving tests.
  • Follow all company policies and state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • State-certified Driving Instructor License (or ability to obtain one).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, professional, and dependable.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of state traffic laws and driver education curriculum.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).
  • Previous teaching or customer service experience is a plus.
