Job description

Our organization, a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Chillicothe, MO, is in search of a board-certified or board-eligible family medicine physician to become part of a well-established outpatient clinic affiliated with a prominent health system in Kansas City, MO.

Position Highlights:

  • This position provides a traditional primary care panel, allowing for the expansion of your practice in a rural environment.
  • Our primary care clinic is situated within a hospital-based multispecialty campus, granting on-site access to a variety of specialists, including OB/GYN and General Surgery, fostering a highly collaborative atmosphere.
  • Enjoy a well-balanced schedule featuring a 4-day work week (32 patient contact hours) along with one dedicated administrative day; weekends are not required.
  • The ideal candidate will benefit from the support of skilled medical assistants and nurses, with strong collaboration from advanced practice providers (APPs).
  • Physicians have the option to round at local nursing homes, while routine clinic calls are managed by APPs.
  • There is an opportunity to mentor medical students, if desired.
  • Patients with acute conditions can access same-day appointments for prompt care; imaging and laboratory services are available on-site to enhance patient care.
  • Utilize a fully integrated Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • As a non-profit entity, employees are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
