We are looking for a Work in Progress (WIP) Coordinator to join our team.
Job Summary
The Work in Progress (WIP) Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the flow of work throughout the production process. This position works closely with Production, Product Development, Quality, and Inventory teams to ensure that materials, prototypes, and production orders move efficiently through the manufacturing process while meeting quality specifications and production deadlines. The WIP Coordinator assists with inventory control, production tracking, waste reduction, and process improvement initiatives. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Monitor and track work-in-progress inventory throughout all stages of production.
  • Maintain accurate production records and inventory transactions.
  • Coordinate production flow to ensure timely movement of materials and products.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving production bottlenecks and workflow issues.
  • Support Product Development and Production teams to ensure prototypes and production runs meet specifications.
  • Verify that quality standards and production requirements are met throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Assist with inventory counts, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Monitor waste and report opportunities for material and process improvements.
  • Assist with workflow tasks such as raveling and trim control procedures.
  • Generate and maintain production, inventory, and WIP reports.
  • Communicate production status and inventory needs with cross-functional departments.
  • Assist with implementation and adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintain an organized work area and promote a safe work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned or apparent.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Ability to review reports, inventory records, labels, and production documentation.

Occasionally
  • Lift and carry materials, inventory, and supplies up to 50 pounds.

The noise level is typically moderate due to knitting and manufacturing equipment operating throughout the production facility.
